arcosanti.....and lots of exchanges!

Today we ventured north out of our false winter where temperatures dare to dive below 60. First stop Arcosanti (the most wonderful garlic smelling bit of architecture). After a nice lunch in the home of the world's oldest rodeo (automatic + as far as towns go) we meandered down the roads staking out our future claim to running glory. Of course I forgot the camera......

how uber excited am I???
Today I finally put my i.dle time to use learning how to edit a photo with selective coloring or a technique called color spotting. This is something I have been doing in my mind for years. I think I originally got the idea or a similar idea while watching the move Foxfire (pre-Brangelina Jolie flick).
Sometimes people I am with will laugh at me because I will stop on a trail and take a picture of a single flower or plant along the way, but only obligingly take the "touristy" shot if I have to.

Today I was tired, a side effect of my nocturnal work schedule....
I hate schedules. One thing I love about night shift is that I rarely have to wake up to an alarm clock. Sydney has an internal schedule though. Sun comes up....tickity, tickity, tickity......breakfast, naps, more naps, even more naps, dinner, sun goes down, sudden burst of energy for play time, and bedtime. This is a picture from Barnacle Bo and Squidney's Sea Adventure a few years ago.
