Who moved my cheese?

TSOTD - dealing with the new computer program at work while still trying to provide quality patient care in the er........and now staying awake through pilates class after having worked all night.

After work this morning I went for a short run; 2 miles; 4 min run/1 min walk; hips/low back/hip flexors soooooo tight from my workout Thursday and work last two days. Just got done foam rolling and stretching feeling a little better.

OH AND WE CAN'T FORGET!

The true athletes will be running the track today in Kentucky! I am rooting for General Quarters to win it all!

  1. I hope everything loosens up for you after the stretching and rolling. I know it really helps me.

You asked about what I use for hydration on long runs. Typically I either use a pair of handheld bottles (which is what I used this weekend) or a two bottle waist pack. I have a couple of Camelbaks, but I have found them to be a bit of a pain to clean and really hard to refill during a long run or race.

  2. Sweet baby j!! Pilates/running after working the night shift?! You nuts??? I've tried - really I have, but I feel like total @$$!

Please tell me how you do that. I always chalk up the day after work as a rest day.

  3. The run after work in the morning was only so I could stay awake for my class and let's remember here that I am not cranking out the miles like you, little Miss joyRuN! And as far as the pilates goes, this class is really something I want to do and only held on the weekend. Hopefully, after I am certified though I can teach pilates and then be a nurse part-time. You know take care of people who don't take care of themselves and then go to a job outside of healthcare where people actually care about their health! I'm not bitter, I embrace my Nightengale-ness!
